Loftahammar consist of many small hamlets and officially covers a large part of the Tjust archipelago, from Södra Malmö till Flatvarp. Nobody knows how many summerhouses there are, but it is a fact that Loftahammar has more holiday houses than normal occupied houses.
With its endless forests and milder climate, the southern landscape is much friendlier, sloping and fruitful. It is no wonder that 80% of the Swedish population live in the southern part of the country (Götaland), because it does not have the north-like rough landscape.
Sweden is the largest country of the Scandinavian peninsula and has land borders with Norway to the west and Finland to the northeast, and it is connected to Denmark by the Öresund Bridge in the south.
